Young people building healthier, stronger rural communities

Our Story

Kacuncu Youth Club (KYC) was formed in 2011 in Bushenyi District, Uganda, after rapid school dropout and a close look at the health and poverty situation in rural communities. Our founders were convinced that young people’s involvement in community initiatives, such as health education, home hygiene, household incomes, keeping children in school and protecting the environment, can lead to better livelihoods and lasting rural health solutions.

Our Vision

Young people who know and claim their rights, build self-esteem, and grow into valued members of society.

Our Mission

To be a purposeful organization that innovates and creates development ideas built on sustainable goals, improving the livelihoods of the community and keeping it free from environmental pollution.
